Episode 012

Scott and Charlie are joined in the Balaban Sound Studio by friend of the show Tony for his thoughts on Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.

Charlie has chosen Roman Holiday with Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck. Scott has selected Papillon starring Steve McQueen and Dustin (still with us) Hoffman.

We celebrate the 40th anniversary of Roman Polanski's Chinatown starring Jack Nicholson.

A huge massive thank you to Smokey and Steven at the History of Misunderstanding podcast for the awesome ident featured at the top of the show. We didn't thank you on air as we received it after recording but we wanted to include it here. You guys are the best!

Emails this week from Jim from Swanscombe (of course) and Ben from the JT Movie podcast (or should that be Hyman Woodchuck?)

So prepare yourself for another bladder busting episode and remember...no ducks were injured during the recording of this podcast.

Episode 011

Scott and Charlie are back in the Balaban Sound Studio for what we hope will now be fortnightly episodes.

In this episode we review Shine, Zulu and Capricorn One as well as taking a brief look at some of this year's Oscar contenders.

Charlie takes a peek into his bulging postbag and of course there is some communication from 'friend of the show' Jim from Swanscombe.

Six Degrees of Separation and the UK and USA number ones are also here .

Much love and thanks to Smokey and Steven at the History of Misunderstanding podcast for our, let's face it, well deserved award, and to Tony who will be joining us next time.

Episode 010 One From The Archive

An extra episode from the early days of The Stinking Pause podcast. One that we never expected to broadcast if the truth be told!

Scott and Charlie discuss Midnight Cowboy, Trading Places and Oliver!

Listen in wonder at how we ever managed to get past this miserable attempt at broadcasting from March last year.

We go into great detail, almost scene by scene in some cases but have fun along the way. You can also discover why we broadcast from what has now become known as the Balaban Sound Studio.

As has now become traditional with our recordings, this episode comes in at a bladder wrenching two and half hours. A prime example of quantity not quality some might say :-)

Normal service will be resumed in a couple of weeks time when we will be looking at Capricorn One, Zulu and Shine.

All episodes are available via iTunes, Stitcher Radio and the blog   thestinkingpause.blogspot.co.uk
